A Herbarium by Signe Kejlbo

Botanical childhood memories and floral fantasies in Plexiglas and paper

A herbarium is a collection of pressed flowers—and the inspiration behind artist Signe Kejlbo’s installation, which draws on childhood botanical memories and floral tales from Tivoli Gardens. Working with Plexiglas and paper, she invites viewers into a sensory experience where the vibrant garden surroundings interplay with reflections of light in a mysterious, almost dreamlike dance.
Signe Kejlbo is an educated textile designer who has worked with fashion, exhibitions, and scenography, while at the same time creating her own textile company with popular scarf and shawl collections. In her work, she interprets the depths and mysteries of flowers in a personal way.
