A new light shines in the Gardens

Introducing Hikari – Tivoli’s new Japan-inspired area. Named after the Japanese word for ‘light’, Hikari holds new stories, delicious flavours, and thrilling adventures for the whole family. A brand-new Tivoli experience we've put our hearts into – and one that we can't wait to share with you.

Welcome to Hikari.

3 rides, 2 brand new

High above, the Demon watches over – Hikari’s mysterious guardian.  Inspired by the Japanese maneki-neko – the beckoning cat said to ward off dark forces and bring good fortune – the Demon stands guard over Hikari. Ride on the cat's back into battle against the evil spirits, as the rollercoaster flings you through loops, sharp bends, and dizzying heights of 28 metres at breathtaking speed.

Welcome to Hotel Hikari – where nothing is quite what it seems. The journey begins the moment you step into the hotel elevator, winding through the hotel's many rooms, each designed to challenge your senses and spark laughter, wonder, and just a touch of dizziness.

Japanese typhoons are known for their immense power – and in The Typhoons Eye, you get a taste of that power for yourself. Climb aboard as centrifugal force takes hold, pinning you to the wall as all sense of gravity disappears and the ride spins faster and faster. A wild Hikari experience – and the only one of its kind in Scandinavia.

Hikari means ‘light’ in Japanese – and light is woven into every corner of this Japanese-inspired area. From glowing neon signs and delicate lanterns to shimmering reflections and shifting atmospheres that evolve through the day and across Tivoli's seasons.

Hikari is located in the area beneath the Demon, out towards Tietgensgade. The area is designed as a street scene where you can discover Japanese delicacies, two new rides, exciting shops, inspiring art, and much more.
