The ‘Jytte Abildstrøm’ Apple Receives Its Name
Late Danish actress and comedian Jytte Abildstrøm was never one to follow convention. When she was honoured with a commemorative theatre plaque on Frederiksberg Allé in 2024, her characteristically witty response was: “I’m going to say something rather cheeky: I would rather have had an apple tree.”
Sometimes life falls into place like a fairytale. Join Jytte’s two sons, Peter and Lars Mygind, as they share personal stories about their mother’s lifelong dedication to environmental causes and green living.
Pomologist Lasse Lose will introduce the newly developed ‘Jytte Abildstrøm’ apple variety and share insights into its cultivation and development.
The event takes place on the plateau in the Open-Air Stage area.
