Jan Harbeck is a highly praised tenor saxophonist and a central figure on the Danish jazz scene, known for his deep, warm tone and lyrical expression that bridges the golden era of swing with the sound of today.

Childhood friends Jan Harbeck and Tivoli Gardens’ kapelmester Peter Jensen have curated a dream repertoire of the music they grew up with in Aalborg. Audiences can expect both well‑known and lesser‑known pieces from the Duke Ellington universe, complemented by soul‑jazz masterworks by Eddie Harris, Stanley Turrentine and Nat Adderley. 

During Copenhagen Jazz Festival, you can enjoy the sound of jazz on the Greenhouse Stage in front of the Pantomime Theatre in Tivoli Gardens.
