Workshop: Felting the Icelandic Flag

Join Katrín Gauksdóttir for a needle felting workshop at Plænen. Last year, Tivoli’s guests created a three-dimensional map of Iceland in wool – this year, the project continues as the back is completed, and guests can take part in felting the Icelandic flag.

Whether you're completely new to felting or have tried it before, everyone is welcome to join in.

All materials will be provided on site.

Please note: Space is limited. If many guests wish to participate, we will rotate so that as many as possible get a chance to try felting.

Katrín Gauksdóttir runs the yarn shop Garnkiosken on Amager. Alongside Halla Benediktsdóttir and Frida Hjaltested, she also helped lead the project of knitting and felting banners for Tivoli.

The workshop is part of Iceland in Tivoli, organised in collaboration with Icelandair and the Embassy of Iceland in Copenhagen.
