Simon Basballe and Emilie Qvist present their take on the cuisine of Jutland’s Northwest Coast.

Simon Basballe and Emilie Qvist are two young chefs who have fallen in love with both the coastal region of Thy and each other – and now they’re looking forward to sharing that passion with you. This special evening of communal dining in Tivoli Gardens offers a unique opportunity to explore their interpretation of the cuisine of the Northwest Coast of Jutland, shaped by local traditions and enriched with flavours and impressions from two years of culinary travels.

Their cooking follows the rhythm of the seasons and is always guided by their surroundings. Representing the region’s growers, fishermen, and farmers, Simon and Emilie strive to honour their craft through every thoughtfully prepared dish. In June, they will open their new summer restaurant and café, Lyspunktet, back home in Thy.
