The Danish Suzuki Institute Summer Concert

The Danish Suzuki Institute Summer Concert
The Danish Suzuki Institute
Children performing for children.
At the Danish Suzuki Institute’s annual Summer Concert, young audiences can experience the joy of seeing children and teenagers their own age perform with heart and enthusiasm. More than 100 dedicated young musicians – from 18-year-olds to children as young as three – will perform music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Antonín Dvořák, Friedrich Seitz, Antonio Vivaldi and others, on violin, cello and piano.
From an early age, the children have learned to play using the Suzuki “mother-tongue” method at the Danish Suzuki Institute, and they now look forward to sharing their music in the beautiful surroundings of Tivoli Concert Hall with fellow children and families.
The first half of the concert features solo performances by professional musicians who are former students of the Institute, alongside current violin, cello and piano soloists. The Institute’s chamber orchestra also performs under the direction of violin teacher Marcus Mukherjee.
In the second half, violinists and cellists join together in ensemble playing. Following a surprise entrance, more and more children take to the stage with each new piece, culminating in a festive finale with over 100 young musicians performing together.
Bring the whole family and experience how classical music belongs to everyone — whatever their age.
