The Amateur Symphonies - Wagner: Act 1 of Die Walküre

The Amateur Symphonies - Wagner: Act 1 of Die Walküre

The Amateur Symphonics
Conductor: Steven Moore

Programme
Richard Wagner: Act I of Die Walküre

Act I of Die Walküre is passionate, intense and hypnotic — the very essence of Wagner’s music drama. Though it forms part of the monumental cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen, it stands powerfully on its own. For many listeners, it also serves as a gateway into Wagner’s vast musical universe, whose spell remains as potent as ever.

This performance offers an ideal introduction — not only to Wagner, but to opera itself. A Danish-language libretto booklet ensures that every nuance of the drama can be followed closely by Danish-speaking audiences.

The soloists are outstanding young operatic talents, and the performance is conducted by Steven Moore, Chorus Master of the Royal Danish Opera.
