Greve Concert Band

Greve Concert Band

Greve Concert Band
Conductor: Grith Grandal Hansen-Schwartz

This concert explores the powerful ties between people, homeland and sovereign. The programme moves from the Danish national stage classic The Elf Hill through patriotic songs and royal marches to reflections on faith and the symbolic “King’s Highway” — Alfred Reed’s vibrant El Camino Real.

While history has not left us with many female heads of state represented in such repertoire, one may yet appear this evening — should the applause after the final piece be enthusiastic enough.

Soloist in Woodland Serenade & Rondo is the orchestra’s long-standing member, Rasmus Grau Andersen. Having begun his musical journey in the former Greve Ungdomsorkester (Greve Youth Orchestra), he has since further developed his artistry in chamber music settings. For the past nine years, the orchestra has had the pleasure of his considerable musical talent and dedicated commitment.
