For more than a decade, CORNAMUSA has been one of the few European stage productions to unite Scottish and Irish traditions in one spectacular theatrical experience. The show combines Scottish bagpipe music, atmospheric ballads, Celtic melodies, and Irish songs with captivating Irish Dance, creating a truly unique live performance.

With its new production, “The Whisper of the Stones,” CORNAMUSA takes audiences on an emotional journey through the history and traditions of Scotland and Ireland. A mysterious Celtic stone, carrying within it the voices of past generations, guides us back to a time when people, despite adversity, preserved their music, their dances, and their cultural identity.

A seven-piece live band and a world-class international dance ensemble bring this story to life on stage. The musicians do not merely accompany the narrative with their instruments; they step into various roles themselves, becoming part of the story alongside the dancers. Atmospheric ballads, traditional melodies, and rich vocal harmonies blend with the pulsating rhythms of drums and the explosive energy of Irish Dance to create a magical overall experience that celebrates the soul and enduring spirit of Ireland and Scotland.

Audiences can look forward to dance performances of the highest international standard. The ensemble is led by three-time European champion Gyula Glaser, who has spent many years performing on international stages, including Off-Broadway productions in New York. Alongside him is Nicole Ohnesorge, an award-winning solo dancer with experience in international stage productions around the world, who achieved an outstanding third place at the World Championships. Together, they represent Irish Dance at its very highest level and have delighted CORNAMUSA audiences for many years.
