A voluntary association, the Thy Tourism Council (Thy Turistråd) strengthens and preserves the authentic local tourism experience across Thy. They champion sustainable tourism that benefits the local community and is safeguarded for future generations, allowing people to both earn a living from and live alongside it.

Acting as a key link between tourism operators in Thy and Destination Northwest Coast, they ensure that all of Thy is represented, maintaining tourism's local and genuine character.
