The Julekalender on stage is just as you remember it from television. The three Christmas elves, Frits, Hansi and Günther, are sent to an ancient elf cave in Jutland, near the home of Oluf and Gertrud Sand. Their mission is to find the key to a mysterious music box that keeps the elf Gammel Nok alive.
Accompanying them is The Great Book, which contains the answers to almost everything and, at all costs, must not fall into the hands of the villainous Nåsåer. But when a mysterious man named Benny turns up at Oluf and Gertrud's doorstep, it soon becomes clear that he has plans of his own...
Look forward to a reunion with Gertrud's famous box of Christmas decorations and, of course, "the mistletoe". Actors Gordon Kennedy, Niels Olsen and Christian Damsgaard take to the stage as the beloved characters audiences know and love.
The script and music for THE JULEKALENDER were created by the celebrated comedy trio De Nattergale: Viggo Sommer, Carsten Knudsen and Uffe Rørbæk Madsen, who also created TV 2's iconic Christmas calendar series that inspired the stage production.
Please note that the show will be performed in Danish, with no English translation available.

Entrance to Tivoli
Tivoli are closed during the performances from November 11 to November 12. The rides are closed. Access to the performance through the Tivoli Main Entrance. Tivoli are open again from November 13 to November 15. The ticket will then grants access to Tivoli on the day of the performance during Tivoli’s opening hours.

Doors open half an hour before the start of the performance.
Duration of the Performance
The performance lasts approximately 2 hours including an 20 minutes intermission.
Wardrobe
Free and unmanned wardrobe.
Age Recommendation
Recommended for ages 6 and up. All children are different, and we recommend that parents individually assess whether the story and themes of the performance are appropriate for their children. Children under 3 years old are not allowed at the performance.
Bars/Restaurants
The bars in The Glass Hall Theatre are open before the performance and during intermission. Additionally, there are plenty of opportunities to dine at one of Tivoli's many restaurants before the performance in the periode november 13 to november 15. Please note that Tivoli and Tivoli´s many restaurants are closed from november 11 to november 12.
