The Julekalender as a theatre production is exactly as you know it from TV.
The three elves, Frits, Hansi, and Günther, are sent to an old elf cave in Jutland, near the home of Oluf and Gertrud Sand. Their mission is to find the key to the music box that keeps the elf Gammel Nok alive. With them, they carry The Great Book, which contains answers to almost everything—and which must never fall into the hands of the evil Nåsåers.

One day, however, a mysterious man named Benny knocks on the door of Oluf and Gertrud Sand, and he has some sinister plans…

Entrance to Tivoli
The ticket grants access to Tivoli on the day of the performance during Tivoli’s opening hours.

Doors open half an hour before the start of the performance.

Duration of the Performance
The performance lasts approximately 2 hours including an intermission.

Wardrobe
Free and unmanned wardrobe.

Age Recommendation
Recommended for ages 6 and up. All children are different, and we recommend that parents individually assess whether the story and themes of the performance are appropriate for their children. Children under 3 years old are not allowed at the performance.

Bars/Restaurants

The bars in The Concert Hall/The Glass Hall Theatre are open before the performance and during intermission. Additionally, there are plenty of opportunities to dine at one of Tivoli's many restaurants before the performance. Read more here.
