When the legend Bill Frisell strikes the first notes in Tivoli Concert Hall, a very special evening begins—one where the music takes shape in the moment, and the audience is invited into the experience.
Together with bassist Thomas Morgan and drummer Rudy Royston, he explores his own compositions, timeless standards, and folk classics, all given new life.
The three musicians share a curious approach to their collective sound, and after decades of collaboration, they have refined the art of listening, responding, and shaping the expression together. Melodies find new paths, silence gains weight, and the music is given room to unfold.
Another voice is added to the trio’s dialogue when Greg Tardy steps in on saxophone. His warm tone and intuitive playing add an extra dimension to the expression.
This will be an exceptional concert — and a rare opportunity to experience four musicians who master the art of improvisation.
