Harlequin must disguise himself as a tailor to get close to his beloved Columbine.

Harlequin is certainly not lacking in ingenuity when it comes to getting near the one he loves. Disguised first as a tailor’s apprentice and later as a dance teacher, he seeks employment with Columbine’s father, the tailor Cassander, simply to be close to her. And with a little help from a kind fairy, the two are ultimately united. Along the way, Pierrot, an ironing board, and a magical sword play important roles in the story
