Summer in Motion

Lauréline Epaulards La Rencontre winner of Copenhagen Made 2022
La Rencontre, French for “the encounter,” is a choreographic exploration of meeting oneself through meeting others. The work brings dancers and audience into a shared space of discovery, revealing the identities behind the individuals on stage and inviting moments of connection. Through these encounters, the piece reflects on how every meeting is unique, shaped by the distinct personalities, experiences, and perspectives each person brings. 
 
Houses in Motion by Artistic Director of Tivoli Ballet Theatre, Peter Bo Bendixen 
This new piece is inspired by the Talking Heads song of the same name and does not follow a specific narrative. Instead, the work highlights the dancers’ technical ability through steps and combinations drawn from their daily training. It offers the dancers an opportunity to showcase their individuality, artistry, and physical versatility, creating a dynamic celebration of movement in its purest form. 
 
Antonio Russo's PERHAPS EVERYBODY HAS A GARDEN OF EDEN winner of Copenhagen Made 2025 
The piece uses four literary figures, Marcel from Proust, Nietzsche’s Übermensch, Jane Eyre, and Oedipus, to explore how love, whether obsessive, existential, principled, or tragic, quietly shapes identity and leaves us longing for an inner “Garden of Eden” where love begins.
