La Sylfide

The story is set in Scotland, where young James is preparing to marry a village girl, Effie. But he is visited by a sylph – a celestial and erotic creature – who lures him into the woods, far from his everyday life and the wedding. A local witch has put a curse on James, so the story has a cruel and fatal end. It can be dangerous to follow your desire and forsake your duty.
