Copenhagen Made 2025 - Program A

Copenhagen Made

Copenhagen Made - Program A

Experience six new dance works created by choreographic talents from leading Danish dance theatres – including Tivoli’s own dancer and former winner Lauréline Epaulard, who now returns with a new piece.

These performances mark the culmination of the choreography competition Copenhagen Made, where the works competed for an artistic prize of 25,000 DKK. Audiences are given a unique opportunity to experience the choreographic voices of tomorrow – performed by a special ensemble assembled across The Royal Danish Theatre, Tivoli Ballet Theatre, and Holstebro Dance Company.

The piece Remains addresses sensitive topics, including physical and psychological violence.

When Everything Begins to Fade
Koreografi af Petra Love
Reflects upon humanity's role in the era of climate change, inspired by the musical piece “Anthropocene” by Nick Mulvey. The choreography celebrates human progress while emphasizing our responsibility towards the planet's future.

In the Small Things
Koreografi af Amalie Stitz
Explores the routines and rituals of everyday life and how these shape our identities and emotional experiences. The choreography alternates between
mechanical precision, monotony, and disruption, integrating layered soundscapes of daily life.

Remains
Koreografi af Leander Rebholz
Investigates human relationships and identity in both present and future contexts. The choreography focuses on how interactions and individual
choices influence our shared and personal future, raising questions about human
coexistence and self-reflection.

Le Fil Rouge
Koreografi af Lauréline Epaulard
Inspired by The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Le Fil Rouge explores the invisible thread that connects our lives. The choreography moves backward in time, tracing how people, choices, and memories shape who we become. With personal and emotional music—including original composition by Freja Lützhøft—the piece is a tribute to connection, reflection, and the moments that define us.

The pieces by Antonio Russo and Vincent Vernal can be experienced at the Pantomime Theatre on Thursday, August 15 at 8:00 PM, as well as, Sunday, August 17th at 1:30 and 3:00 PM

Copenhagen Made is initiated by The Royal Danish Ballet Foundation and generously supported by Augustinus Foundation, Fritz H. Schur Foundation, Knud Højgaard Foundation, Toyota Foundation, and Ballettens Venner.
