Accordion Stories

People cross paths. Glances are exchanged, expectations arise, and relationships begin to take shape – some blossom, others quietly unravel. In Accordion Stories, Tim Rushton creates a stage world where the many shades of love and longing unfold in a series of poetic vignettes.

The performance moves between romance and understated comedy, between tender yearning and gentle absurdity. Flirtations, misunderstandings and fragile hopes are portrayed with warmth and a subtle sense of humour. Vibrant accordion music frames the encounters, underscoring the work’s blend of summer lightness, melancholy and playful theatricality.

 

The ballet premiered on 20 August 2015.
