Kristian Leth presents Beethoven

Kristian Leth presents Beethoven

Host: Kristian Leth
Performers: The Doric String Quartet

Program:

Beethoven: String Quartet Op. 135
Beethoven: Op. 18 No. 3

Kristian Leth has a remarkable talent for engaging with the greatest of the classical repertoire. In this concert, he invites the internationally renowned, London-based Doric String Quartet to the stage for an intense conversation both about — and with — Beethoven. Through his groundbreaking string quartets, Beethoven transformed the very foundations of classical music, paving the way for all that came after. Leth masterfully explores the myth of Beethoven as the free-spirited artist, peeling back the layers of these bold quartets to reveal the human being behind them.

After the concert, you are invited to an Artist Talk in the Upper Rotunda of the Tivoli Concert Hall. Admission to the talk is free, and it will begin at approximately 21:00.
