Renowned Romanian soprano Angela Gheorghiu stands as a luminary in the world of opera. Her illustrious career spans performances on prestigious stages from New York to Vienna, Tokyo, and Sao Paulo, complemented by an intensive concert career with most of the world’s leading orchestras. Gheorghiu, a familiar presence in Denmark, last performed there nearly two years ago at a charity gala at the Royal Danish Theatre, aiding the restoration of Ukraine's cultural life.

Her career took a dramatic turn with her debut in Puccini's La Bohème at London's Covent Garden Opera in 1992, where she instantly rose to stardom. Since then, Gheorghiu has dazzled audiences worldwide, both solo and in tandem with tenor Roberto Alagna, forming an iconic opera duo.

Acknowledged as the preeminent interpreter of Puccini's works, Gheorghiu has performed all his major female roles, from Mimi in La Bohème to the formidable Tosca. These arias, among others, will be featured in her performance in Tivoli Gardens this summer.

Gheorghiu's passionate vocal style, technical prowess, and exquisite timbre have solidified her status as an opera superstar. Fully embracing the title of diva, as exemplified in her tribute album to Maria Callas, Angela Gheorghiu embodies the essence of an opera diva, confidently acknowledging her exceptional talent.
