It is many moons since Thomas Helmig as a young man from Aarhus released his eponymous first album Thomas Helmig in 1984. He has since performed with a band, as a soloist, in Danish and in English – and always achieving great success. With singalong evergreens such as Nu Hvor Du Har Brændt Mig Af and Det Er Mig Der Står Her Ude Og Banker På and the English Stupid Man, Helmig has serenaded himself into the hearts of the Danes.
Thomas Helmig has received 16 Danish Music Awards over the years, making him the most-winning Danish artist ever, truly deserving the title of Denmark’s uncrowned king of pop. We look forward to experiencing his always amazing live performance when he returns to the Open-Air Stage.
