The Danish Suzuki Institute's Summer Concert

The Danish Suzuki Institute's Summer Concert

This concert offers a unique opportunity to experience classical music performed by children and young musicians who have honed their skills through the Suzuki Method.
Often referred to as the “Mother Tongue Method,” the Suzuki Method is founded on the belief that all children can learn music the same way they learn their native language—through listening, repetition, and parental support. This approach fosters musical understanding and enjoyment in a nurturing and supportive environment.

This year's concert takes on added significance as it celebrates the centenary of the Suzuki Institute's founders, Tove and Bela Detrekoyes. Featuring performances by former Suzuki students who are now professional musicians, the concert also offers a poignant retrospective on the institute's enduring legacy in Denmark.

Showcasing a diverse range of instruments, including violin, cello, and piano, the concert features students at various stages of their musical development. It promises to be an inspiring experience for both the young musicians and the audience, providing a unique glimpse into how the Suzuki Method cultivates musical talent.
