This year marks the 50th anniversary since a group of young and highly energetic lads from northern Copenhagen released their first album under the name Shu-Bi-Dua.
After the charismatic frontman and singer of the national orchestra departed this earth, Shu-Bi-Dua went on hiatus. Last year, the 50th anniversary of Shu-Bi-Dua's first single Fed Rock provided an occasion for the three true "shubbers" Michael Hardinger, Kim Daugaard, and Jørgen Thorup to join forces for version 2.0 of Shu-Bi-Dua. Since then, the Danish people have flocked to Shu-Bi-Dua 2.0's concerts. Besides the original"shubbers", Shu-Bi-Dua 2.0 consists of guitar virtuoso B-Joe Johansen, keyboard magician Rasmus Schwenger and drum wizard Flemming Olsen.
The familiar songs have transcended several generations, and at the concert on Plænen – the Open Air stage, old fans have the opportunity to stand side by side with children and grandchildren and sing along to new rocking versions of Den Røde Tråd, Danmark, Hvalborg, Vuffeli-Vov and countless other Shu-Bi-Dua classics.
