At 16:00

Plænen - The Open Air Stage

We pay tribute to the Danish cycling heroes
The Danish cycling heroes, and especially Jonas Vingegaard, truly merit our praise for their cycling sports achievements as well as the excitement and sense of community they share with us, proving once again that Denmark is a true cycling nation. We therefore pay tribute to these champions on Wednesday 26 July in Tivoli Gardens, and we hope you will join the party. All you need is a Tivoli Pass or a Tivoli Gardens admission ticket.

Follow the riders on the big screen As soon as Tivoli Gardens opens at 11:00, you are welcome to come and secure the best place. There will be live transmission by national broadcaster TV2 on the big screen, so you can follow the celebrations on the roads of Copenhagen and at City Hall Square – right up until the riders arrive at Tivoli Gardens.

Big celebration at the Open-Air Stage Harlequin and Columbine along with Pierrot will head the parade in a yellow cargo bike when Jonas Vingegaard and the other Danish cycling heroes make their way by Trolley Bus from the main Tivoli Gardens entrance to the Open-Air Stage where the programme starts at 16:15.
Stine Bjerre and Jimmy Bøjgaard will invite Vingegaard and the other Danish riders to the Open-Air Stage for a chat about this summer’s amazing achievements. The programme will also include speeches, singalongs and a performance by Scarlet Pleasure.

We look forward to paying tribute along with you to the Danish cycling heroes, bringing an amazing month of cycling achievement to a festive conclusion.

Note that admission is on a first-come, first-served basis and that filming will take place in the Gardens.
