Today, Piemontesi is well-travelled not least in the world of chamber music, where he performs with musicians such as Leif Ove Andsnes, Yuri Bashmet, Emmanuel Pahud and the Emerson Quartet, and where he is winning the hearts of critics everywhere with his empathetic phrasing and styling.
He has the recital form well in hand after performing in Concertgebouw, Tonhalle, Musikverein, Carnegie Hall, and Wigmore Hall, where he launched a "Mozart Odyssey" spanning three whole seasons.
Piemontesi has chosen to play a programme of pure Schubert comprising 4 Impromptus and Piano Sonata No. 17, both works from the year before Schubert died at the tender age of 31.
Schubert: 4 Impromptus, Op. 90
Schubert: Piano Sonata No. 17 in D Major, Gasteiner, D850
