Experience the eminent Danish chef, cookbook author and TV host Thomas Herman talk about his Tivoli adventure with the opening of restaurant Herman at Nimb in 2008.
He wanted to create a Danish-inspired gourmet restaurant that would serve new interpretations of classic Danish dishes. The project succeeded beyond all expectations - just 10 months after opening, the restaurant received a Michelin star.
During the remodelling of the restaurant, they discovered a small room facing the railway station. This was transformed into a mini "grill bar" that only made gourmet hotdogs, which were served through a small hatch in the wall. Thomas Herman revolutionized the classic hotdog and started a new movement of gourmet hotdogs in the country.
Thomas will make his revolutionary hotdog in the Live Kitchen, while he talks about his love for food and the classic Danish dishes and about all the hardships that come with opening a Michelin restaurant.
