In a French-Turkish alliance, Francis and Umut are fighting for a common goal: to get the Danes to (re)discover the legumes and pave the way for more taste and quality, more sustainability and better health. By combining their different cultures and expertise, Francis and Umut create an uplifting and unpretentious room filled with food enthusiasm, sublime cooking, inspiring stories, and lots of humour.

Join Umut and Francis on a culinary adventure where they explore how legumes and vegetables can be used. We are going from Mesopotamia, up through Europe and to Denmark, where for mysterious reasons the legume has been forgotten in the food culture - but Umut and Francis now want to change that!

On this part of the journey, Umut and Francis will invite someone from the audience on stage, where together they will make a delicious Turkish mercimek soup. The soup is an important part of the Mesopotamian cuisine with roots going back to civilizations in the Middle East over 10,000 years ago. The cuisine is known for using a wide range of grains, legumes, vegetables, and spices, and this is where dishes such as hummus, tabbouleh, sharwarma and kebabs come from.

Join the journey and taste a bit of Mesopotamia, when at the end there will be small samples of the delicious soup.
