The Iceland National Day is the latest entry in our event series Tivoli Celebrates. For the first time, Tivoli will celebrate Icelandic culture and music and the Gardens will be packed with all the best from our Scandinavian neighbors.
1000 pennants knitted from Icelandic wool
A group of volunteer knitting enthusiasts are currently in the process of knitting pennants made entirely of Icelandic wool. When the pennants are done they will make up Tivoli's longest garland. The goal is a 1000 pennants, and they can be enjoyed on for the first time on 17 June.
Music and stand-up comedy at the Orangery
Iceland boasts a multitude of talented and creative artists.
At 19.00 Icelandic soul band Moses Hightower performs at the Open-air Stage, followed by beloved Danish singer/songwriter Tina Dickow, from 22.00.
Gastronomic extravaganza at the Japanese Pagoda
On 17 June, don’t miss out on the unique opportunity to enjoy a fine Icelandic dining experience in Tivoli. Iceland's most acclaimed chef, Gunnar Gislason, will team up with the Danish winner of the Michelin Guide's Young Chef Award, Christoffer Sørensen from Restaurant Studio. Icelandic pastry at Cakenhagen
To celebrate Iceland National Day, Cakenhagen patisserie presents a special cake to mark the occasion. Sample their skyr cheesecake prepared with wild, red berries and swing by Cakenhagen on 16, 17 and 18 June.
