Often asked questions

If we determine that Tivoli Gardens has reached the desired number of guests during concerts, we reserve the right to close access to the Gardens to ensure the best concert experience for everyone.

  2. Are there special requirements for wheelchairs, walkers or other equipment during concerts?

Yes, special regulations apply to the following:

    Pushchairs, prams/strollers, walkers and wheelchairs
For safety reasons, it is not permitted to bring the above equipment to the Open-Air Stage area during Friday Rock events. However, a designated wheelchair area has been assigned to guests with physical impairments who either use a wheelchair or a walker.

Guests with prams/strollers are advised to find space on the sides of the concert area or around the Glass Hall Theatre, Chaplon Tea Salon or Tivoli Concert Hall.

    Umbrellas
For safety reasons, it is not permitted to use umbrellas by the Open-Air Stage during the concerts. We recommend using raincoats instead.

    Camera equipment
It is not permitted to use professional or semi-professional audio, photo or video equipment during performances and concerts, including single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras with interchangeable lenses, zoom lenses and the like. Staff instructions must always be followed, even in cases of doubt.

    Erected barriers must be respected.
Please show consideration for other guests and follow the instructions of the security staff.

  3. May I bring my own food and drinks?

You may bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages into Tivoli Gardens. However, it is not permitted to bring glass bottles/containers. Your own food and drinks can be enjoyed by the Open-Air Stage, on the lawns inside Tivoli Gardens along H. C. Andersens Boulevard and on benches in Tivoli Gardens.

  4. Is smoking permitted in the concert area?

Tivoli Gardens is smoke-free, but our guests enjoy access to four zones where smoking is permitted. The zones are clearly marked with “smoking permitted” signs and are additionally marked on the Tivoli Gardens map and described on tivoligardens.com.

These areas do not include the Open-Air Stage concert area. Tivoli Gardens considers e-cigarettes comparable to regular cigarettes. Tivoli Gardens’ smoking policy therefore also applies to e-cigarettes.

  5. Is there a designated area for wheelchairs during Friday Rock events?

Yes, there is an area for wheelchairs to the right of the Open-Air Stage from where you can follow the concerts. The area has limited capacity, and individual spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Wheelchair users may bring one companion who is allowed to stand behind the space allocated for wheelchairs.
