During the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, you can enjoy top-notch jazz in front of the Pantomime Theatre in Tivoli Gardens. Under the direction of band leader Peter Jensen, the Tivoli Orchestra invites varying soloists onto the stage. On Friday, July 5th, and Thursday, July 11th, the Orchestra will be joined by Mathias Heise.
When Mathias Heise received The Ben Webster Prize in 2017, he became the youngest musician ever to do so. There is certainly something unique and impressive about the way the young harmonica player effortlessly weaves together threads from jazz, swing, funk, and rock in his music. An ability that led a reviewer to call Mathias Heise almost too good to be true.
