During the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, you can enjoy top-notch jazz in Tivoli Gardens. Under the direction of band leader Peter Jensen, the Tivoli Orchestra invites varying soloists onto the stage. On Saturday, July 6th, and Saturday, July 13th, the Orchestra will be joined by Mads Mathias.
Mads Mathias has captured the hearts of music lovers with his charismatic performances, vibrant personality, and creatively original songs. His career has truly taken off, recently performing at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms and opening the London Jazz Festival at their grand gala concert alongside Seal and Angelique Kidjo.
Inspired and influenced by the great jazz vocalists of past and present, from Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra to Harry Connick Jr., and with a deep respect for the crooner tradition, Mathias nevertheless remains an original talent with a unique and effortlessly charming vocal style and an ability to craft catchy and memorable, stylishly crafted melodies.
