The New York Times wrote about their album release in December 2013: “It is the musicianship that Kavakos and the excellent pianist Enrico Pace contribute that makes the journey so exciting. The conversation, the arguments and the flirtation between the violin and the piano, which Beethoven has inscribed in these sonatas, are produced here with great spirit and impeccable taste.”
In 2017, the violinist Leonidas Kavakos received one of the world's most prestigious honors in the world of classical music, the Danish Sonning Prize. Kavakos stated at the time that performing for him always resembles climbing a mountain. Throughout the years, Kavakos has thus conquered several mountains around the world.
Featuring: Leonidas Kavakos, violin, Enrico Pace, piano.
