Miriam Mandipira and Michael Carøe with the Tivoli Big Band

This evening's concert is a journey through the story of Tivoli and the Open Air Stage, told by singer Miriam Mandipira, entertainer Michael Carøe and, not least, the Tivoli Big Band. We will be revisiting major stars like Ella Fitzgerald, seminal rock from Annisette and Savage Rose, rock band Gasolin, hip-hop duo Nik & Jay, jazz greats Sarah Vaughan and Louis Armstrong, and original Tivoli favourite Gyngerne og karrusellen. Singer Miriam Mandipira is inspired by the jazz greats, and lends her unique voice and musicality to their classic tracks. Entertainer Michael Carøe is a man of many talents, but he is at his very best on stage with a large orchestra to back him. He has perfected the role of crooner and entertainer, and he has been justly dubbed the Danish Frank Sinatra. When he performs alongside Miriam Mandipira, nobody will go home disappointed.
