The musicians in the Canadian group Les Poules á Colin are all children of strongly established folk musicians. In other words, they were brought up backstage at concerts and festivals and share a natural love of music they have nurtured all their lives. Though still young, they have played together for almost 10 years. The music is a mix of the folk music that coloured their childhoods spiced up with inspiration from the North American continent's tradition for jazz and Old Time, stamped with the group's signature style. The vocals are delivered in both English and French, and the five musicians play on the violin, guitar, banjo, lapsteel, mandolin, piano and percussion.
