Every Wednesday in the Orangery, enjoy some of today's best Danish jazz performers backed by the Tivoli Ensemble under the leadership of conductor Peter Jensen. Anders Gaardmand is opening the season with a fabulous new show that balances between a standard jazz core repertoire and funky grooves from soul-influenced artists of the 60s and 70s. Tenor saxophonist Anders Gaardmand has enjoyed life in the heart of the Copenhagen jazz environment after growing up in old Montmartre and, as well as having a career as a studio musician in New York in the 1980s, he has played with iconic Danish bands such as Shubidua and Rugsted & Kreutzfeldt.
