The Orangery

Kalaha's music is inspired by equal parts West African funk, techno rave and jazz improvisation, making it a varied mix of syncopated beats, wild energy and precision. Their album Masala won a Danish Music Award and received excellent reviews from critics, including influential BBC DJ Gilles Peterson. Kalaha are Emil de Waal (drums, electronics), Niclas Knudsen (guitar, talk-box), Jens Berents 'Rumpistol' Christiansen (keyboards, electronics) and Mikael 'Spejderrobot' Elkjær (computer, electronics). In their live performances, the four musicians complement each other and lift the music to another level. So drop by and check them out – you won't regret it!
