British singer-songwriter Danni Nicholls discovered American roots music, country and rock'n'roll as a child when she worked her way through her grandmother's record collection. When she inherited a guitar and started writing her own music, the old records inspired her. Her first album, A Little Redemption (2013), and her second, Mockingbird Lane (2015), were recorded in Nashville together with producer Chris Donohue – who has also worked with artists such as Emmylou Harris. Danni Nicholls performed at last year's Tønder Folk Festival as part of Women's Circle alongside Tami Neilson and Dorthe Gerlach.
