Christmas in Tivoli Gardens offers a world of discovery for young children. Let them loose in the magical Christmas Village, Bjældevang , and watch how a visit to Santa’s House lights up their wondrous eyes. Let the children explore the vendor stalls that abound with Christmas goodies and seasonal sweet-treats.
Santa has woken up after a long and well-deserved snooze and has moved to Tivoli Gardens. Take the children by the hand and visit him in Santa’s House on the Open-Air Stage, where his little helpers are preparing all the Christmas presents. Santa looks forward to greeting you in his charming home and to hearing all your Christmas wishes.
The Yuletide elves have gone to great lengths to build special Christmas rides for children. When your kids run out of steam, you can climb aboard the Elf Train and experience enchanted snow-dusted landscapes. Or if you prefer visiting cuddly forest animals, the Forest Merry-Go-Round will be a sure hit. Both these rides offer fun Christmas experiences for the whole family.
Watch the traditional Saint Lucy’s procession and listen to the angelic voices of 100 singers as they wander through the Gardens carrying flickering lanterns. You can also experience spectacular light projections on the iconic Nimb building where you will join an elf expedition as it ventures into a fairytale forest where the elves select and decorate the most magnificent Christmas tree in the glow of fireworks of every colour.
ENTERTAINMENT FOR THE YOUNG
Experience dashing red uniforms, tall bearskin hats and festive band music when the Tivoli Youth Guard performs during the Christmas season in Tivoli Gardens. You can experience the guards as part of the Tivoli Christmas Show in the Tivoli Concert Hall and in festive parades though the Gardens.
There are also dedicated family performances during the Christmas season in Tivoli Gardens, including “The Gnome Without a Name ”, a show staged by the Fairytale Theatre in which a parkland is to be made ready for Christmas despite the garden gnomes suddenly disappearing – all with the exception of one, who has been brought to life. Where have all the garden gnomes gone, and what happens when a garden gnome springs to life and sets out to discover the world? Find out when the Fairytale Theatre performs in the Glass Hall Theatre in Tivoli Gardens until and including 18 December.
