In March 2009, chef Thomas Herman and his staff were honoured with the greatest recognition a restaurant can hope for when they were awarded a star by the Michelin Guide.
Thomas Herman was raised in Southern Jutland, and even though he is now ensconced in the Danish gastronomic pantheon with his distinctions, awards, and working sojourns at the three-star restaurants of the world, he has never forgotten his roots.
Thomas Herman does everything possible to ensure that a visit to his restaurant sends guests into Proustian recollection - but not without some enchanting detours. At Herman, the chef is writing an ongoing love letter to the Danish classics - with nothing less than a radical reinterpretation of them.
