The Tivoli Environmental Workshop

It is not good for the environment to run amusement parks as such, but it is good for our quality of life. Tivoli would like to contribute to minimising the damaging effects of our activities. So we are testing new methods and technologies in our "Environment Workshop".

When the Vertigo ride brakes, a lot of electricity is produced. When one arm brakes, we can use that electricity to drive the other arm, or we can send it out into the Copenhagen power supply network. On average, one fifth of the power Vertigo uses is regenerated by the ride itself.

Tivoli has also installed a solar panel system for recharging the electrical cars used in the Gardens. More ways of protecting the environment and climate will definitely be tried out in the future in the running of Tivoli.
