We save electricity

120,000 light bulbs. That is how many are needed to create that special Tivoli atmosphere on a summer evening. But finding solutions which can be used in Tivoli so that the special fairy-tale atmosphere is not lost is a big challenge.

Tivoli works constantly to find replacements for traditional light bulbs. The first results of our efforts to save energy are already evident: LED lights have been fitted to the Japanese Pagoda and the same applies to the Hanging Gardens and the square in front of the Pantomime Theatre.

2,800 15W bulbs on the Japanese Pagoda were replaced by 1.6W bulbs, and about 900 were installed in the Hanging Gardens.

For Christmas in Tivoli, the number of lights reaches over one million. LED is also used here, as can, for example, be seen on the large white wickerwork balls and in the willow trees by the Lake.

Just by changing to LED on the Japanese Pagoda Tivoli saves 60,000 kWh per year.
